About Forex Market Clock
Forex Market Clock is a free, independent tool that answers one question fast: which forex sessions are open right now, and when does the next one start?
Why we built it
Most forex market hours charts are fixed tables in one time zone. They go wrong twice a year when daylight saving time changes, and they leave the conversion to you. We wanted a clock that runs in your own time zone, knows each city's daylight saving rules, and shows overlaps and countdowns without any mental arithmetic.
What the tool does
- Shows the Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London and New York sessions live, plus Frankfurt, Singapore and Mumbai if you add them.
- Converts every session to your time zone, applying each city's daylight saving time automatically.
- Highlights session overlaps and typical activity levels through the day.
- Offers two views: a radial Global Clock for an at-a-glance status, and a linear Timeline for exact times.
- Pops out into a small floating window that stays on top of your trading platform.
How session times are calculated
Each session is defined by the typical business hours of its financial centre in that city's local time (for example, London 08:00–17:00). The clock converts these to your time zone using your browser's time zone database, so daylight saving changes are handled for every city independently. The weekly open and close follow the industry convention of 5:00 p.m. New York time.
Independence and accuracy
Forex Market Clock is not a broker and is not affiliated with any broker, bank or exchange. Session hours are conventions rather than official exchange hours, and your broker's trading hours may differ, especially around holidays. Nothing on this site is financial advice.
